How hulled wheat is beneficial to us
It’s a centuries-old superfood and wonder grain, that sustained Roman soldiers as they march and which has enjoyed a more recent revival in popular artisan bread and cereals. Hulled wheat is also similar to wheat but smaller than common wheat, it’s also known as spelled and Dinkel wheat. Different bakery food products like biscuits, crackers, and slices of bread made by hulled wheat are easily available in supermarkets.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF HULLED WHEAT
It contains a lot of nutrients like protein, vitamin B-6, Fibre and has a low glycaemic load, which helps to maintain and prevent disease conditions as well as help to boost the immune system.
Digestive Health:- We know that gastro patients should restrict fiber but today I am going to tell you, hulled wheat contains soluble fiber which can help to prevent serious gastrointestinal issues like bloating, cramping, excess gas, diarrhea, and constipation which is very common now a day.
Cholesterol: - Due to the high fiber content of hulled wheat it’s helping in lowering bad cholesterol i.e. LDL in the body.
Circulation: - A rich amount of iron and copper is also present in it, which plays an essential role in the creation of red blood cell and increase the blood flow in the body.
Hormonal Regulation:- Niacin play important role in adrenal gland function. Niacin found in hulled wheat also helps to regulate hormones.

HULLED FLOUR COOKIES
Ingredients
Ø3/4 cup packed brown sugar
Ø1/2 cup butter softened
Ø1 egg
Ø1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ø1 3/4 cups Hulled flour, or more if needed
Ø1 teaspoon baking soda
Ø1/2 teaspoon salt
Ø1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Ø1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
ØAdd all ingredients to list
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). First place an oven rack in the lowest position in the oven and place a second rack in an upper position.
2.Take a bowl and Beat brown sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract together with an electric mixer until smooth.
3.In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt together. Stir flour mixture into brown sugar mixture until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. Spoon small amounts of dough onto a baking sheet.
4.Bake in the preheated oven on the lower shelf for 5 minutes. Transfer baking sheet to upper shelf; bake until edges are lightly browned, about 5 more minutes, and store it in an airtight container.
HULLED WHEAT CRACKERS
Ingredients
Ø2 cups Hulled flour
Ø1 tsp. baking powder
Ø1/2 tsp. salt
Ø2/3 cup warm water
Ø1/3 cup olive oil
Directions
ØMix all dry ingredients in a bowl, and then add water and oil. Combine and knead briefly.
ØDivide into 8 pieces, roll one piece of paper-thin, and cut into 8 rectangles.
ØTake a baking sheet and place each rectangle on it sprayed with Pam.
ØPoke a few times with a fork, and sprinkle with black pepper, salt, or the spice of your choice.
ØBake in a 400-degree oven for about 10 minutes.
ØServe it as snacks.
